According to reports, China Huaneng Group HN Revival DCS’s core chips, basic electronic components, operating system, database, and all basic and application software are developed using independent technology, making it the first industrial control system in China with a 100% localization rate for both hardware and software. China Great Wall provided the server and terminal products based on Feiteng 2000+ for this system, which are used for information monitoring and operation workstations, ensuring the system’s safe and stable operation, achieving full coverage control of boilers, steam turbines, and generators. Tests have shown that the hardware board accuracy, anti-interference capability, and adaptability to operating environments of HN Revival DCS exceed those of similar products both domestically and internationally.
On September 25, 2020, the HN Revival DCS was installed and debugged at the Fuzhou Power Plant’s 350,000 kW unit, successfully connecting to the grid on November 6.DCS is the brain of thermal power plants and is a key device for ensuring stable power supply.
On November 25, 2020, the first fully domestically produced DCS – HN Revival, developed by China Huaneng Group, was successfully put into operation alongside the capacity enhancement and efficiency improvement project of Unit 1 at the Huaneng Yuhuan Power Plant, which has a capacity of 1055 MW.
On September 23, 2021, the HN Revival (HN Revival) DCS/DEH+SIS integrated system was officially put into operation for the second phase of the Huaneng Jiangxi Ruijin Power Plant project.
The HN Revival DCS uses independent technology for everything from core chips like the CPU to basic electronic components, from operating systems and databases to application software, making it the first industrial control system in China with a 100% localization rate for both hardware and software. This system achieves full coverage control of boilers, steam turbines (including DEH), and generators. Tests have shown that the hardware board accuracy, anti-interference capability, and adaptability to operating environments of HN Revival DCS exceed those of similar products both domestically and internationally. The application results at the Fuzhou Power Plant indicate that the unit operates safely and stably, with key technical indicators surpassing national and industry standards.
In 2017,Nanjing NARI Technology Co., Ltd. successfully put into operation the first DCS system (the fully independent intellectual property integrated PCS-9150 DCS system provided by NARI Technology officially entered the thermal power DCS industry).
By the end of 2024, the “HN Revival” series products have been successively applied to Huaneng Fuzhou Power Plant, Yuhuan Power Plant, the second phase of Ruijin Power Plant, and other thermal power units, as well as Huaneng Xiaowan Hydropower Station, Nuozhadu Hydropower Station, and Huaneng Qinghai Gonghe Shenergy photovoltaic power stations, accelerating the large-scale application of “HN Revival”. Hu Bo introduced that as of now, “HN Revival” has been successfully promoted in over 60 thermal power units, over 40 hydropower units, and over 200 offshore and onshore wind power units in China, directly driving the industrial application of over 1 million domestic chips, with products gradually gaining market competitiveness.
