It’s that time again when you finish ICC and feel bored. Today, let’s take a look at the mounts you can solo farm during the ICC phase. I don’t believe you have them all.

The first one is the DK horse, which drops from Stratholme in the 60s. The drop rate is quite low, although you can farm it infinitely every day, taking about ten minutes per run. However, for someone like me with bad luck, I’ve been checking Baron every week from TOC to ICC and have yet to see the horse. For those who want to farm it, remember to get the backdoor key first, then defeat the three bosses in the backdoor’s necromancer towers and the mobs inside, and you can go meet Baron Rivendare in the slaughterhouse.
The second one is the Zul’Gurub tiger from the 60s. Zul’Gurub is a 20-man raid, and the solo farming difficulty is relatively low compared to MC. Moreover, these two mounts have been removed since the release of 85, so if you want them, you need to farm them quickly. Fortunately, the cooldown is three days, and the difficulty isn’t high, but the drop rate is still quite low. After the news was released in the time-limited server, I arranged for my warrior, DK, and paladin to go every cooldown, but I still haven’t seen a single one. A run takes about ten minutes, not including travel time, and you don’t need to kill any mobs, so it’s quite fast. Note that the three mini-bosses in High Priestess Sek’Keth’s P1 need to be killed together, as one of them heals, so remember to interrupt that.

The third one is the Frostsaber from Winterspring in the 60s. This is a reputation mount, which seems to be exclusive to the Alliance, and can only be obtained by repeatedly completing quests to gain reputation. It’s suitable for fragmented time, while larger blocks of time are better spent on dungeons.
The fourth one is the White Chicken from the H Magister’s Terrace. This is a 5-man dungeon from the 70s, and you must clear the normal mode first to access heroic mode. The difficulty is a bit higher than the previous two, and it takes longer because there are many mobs, and you can’t skip a lot of them. You have to fight all the way to the final boss. To be honest, this mount is quite ugly, and after one unsuccessful run, I didn’t bother to farm it again.
The fifth one is the Midnight, which drops from the first boss, Attumen the Huntsman, in Karazhan from the 70s. Although it’s a 70-man raid, it’s just an entry-level one and is only a 10-man dungeon, so the difficulty isn’t high. A run can be completed in less than 10 minutes, which is even shorter than the travel time. The drop rate is also quite low; I farmed it for a while but eventually gave up.
The sixth one is the Blue Proto-Drake that drops from H Utgarde Pinnacle, which has the highest difficulty and can only be soloed by a protection paladin or a death knight; other classes can’t do it yet, as it’s an 80-level 5-man heroic dungeon. It takes a long time, and even if you don’t wipe, it takes over half an hour. Once you get familiar with it, it might take a bit less time. I’ve only tried it twice and haven’t gone back; it’s too difficult, and I wiped a few times, and crucially, it didn’t drop…
Actually, there’s also a raven from the 70s, but I don’t have a druid and haven’t tried it, so I won’t say anything about it.
In summary, there are a total of 8 mounts that can be soloed. Except for the raven, I’ve tried them all, but with no luck. The only thing I’ve gained is solidifying my title as a non-lucky player! How many do you still need? That’s it for today’s content; remember to like and follow, and see you next time.
