The Allwinner V821 is a series of highly integrated low-power multi-lens IPC SoCs, utilizing a dual RISC-V architecture processor, supporting real-time access for two cameras, with a high-performance ISP and H264 encoding unit providing 4M HD video processing capabilities. At the same time, the V821 integrates Wi-Fi, LDO, IRCUT, and audio codec, providing an extremely cost-effective encoding solution. Based on excellent HD image and video processing capabilities, as well as small size, high integration, low power consumption, and low cost characteristics, the Allwinner V821 meets the design requirements of AI glasses well.

At this launch event, Qingcheng Wireless, focusing on software and hardware services in the smart wearable market, detailed the complete solution for V821 AI glasses. This solution adopts a main control + Bluetooth dual-chip design, which is more cost-effective and accessible. The main control chip uses the fully integrated Allwinner V821 visual chip, supporting 5MP to 8MP photography, 1080P to 2K video recording, and supports anti-shake algorithms, meeting users’ basic usage needs; the typical power consumption for 1080P/30 fps recording is about 283 to 295mW, ensuring product battery life; with built-in Wi-Fi/DDR, dimensions of only 9*9mm, and a PCB requiring only 4 to 6 layers, the core board’s typical size is only 10mm*50mm, enabling a more compact and lightweight appearance design.

Allwinner Technology also provides a series of software development kits for the V821, including hardware reference designs that can be quickly paired with Bluetooth, a software solution that compiles firmware for nine basic functional scenarios with one click, RTOS protocols that facilitate quick Bluetooth porting, supporting image algorithms such as anti-shake and image enhancement, as well as tools for rapid Wi-Fi certification of hardware/machine, fully supporting terminal brand products to quickly enter the market.

At the launch event, Qingcheng Wireless showcased the “Smart Eye” AI glasses designed based on the Allwinner V821 fully integrated visual chip, which visually matches the mainstream products currently on the market. In terms of interaction, it features independent physical buttons for photography/video recording, audio recording, pause/play, touch buttons for volume adjustment, and voice wake-up and control with “Hello, Little Orange/Hey Cyan.” Functionally, it supports up to 8MP photography, 2K video recording, dual MIC noise reduction, online real-time translation, AI dialogue, AI image recognition, etc., with the AI large model integrated, the domestic version has connected to Doubao, and the overseas version supports ChatGPT.

The product also supports control linkage with smart rings and smartwatches, with functions such as thumbnail display on smartwatches. Future upgrades will continue to enhance visual-related aspects, gradually providing photo level correction, optional vertical video mode, low-light enhancement, color enhancement functions, and support for global live broadcast mode. In terms of AI, it will shorten AI response time, and typical scene intelligent agents will support customization, achieving a better user experience.
