Hello everyone, I am Xiaoyueyue, Maker Faire 2019 is being held in San Mateo, California, USA, and as usual, Arduino will announce their new products at the exhibition.

This year is no exception, they released a new Nano series, with 4 boards: Every, 33 IoT, 33 BLE, and BLE Sense. Below, Xiaoyueyue will introduce each one:

• MCU – Microchip ATMega4809 AVR microcontroller @20 MHz, with 48KB flash, 6KB SRAM, 256 Bytes EEPROM;

• USB- USB to serial implemented by Microchip ATSAMD11D14A Arm Cortex-M0+ microcontroller;

• 2×15-pin expansion port includes GPIO, SPI, I2C, USART, PWM, ADC, DAC, reset, and power pins (+5V, +3.3V, GND, Vin, AREF, …);

• Size – Compatible with the original Arduino Nano;

• MCU – Arm Cortex-M0+ core Microchip SAMD21G18A microcontroller @ up to 48MHz with 256KB Flash, 32KB SRAM

• Wireless Module – NINA W102 ESP32 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth module connected to SAMD21 microcontroller via SPI and serial

• 2×15-pin expansion port includes GPIO, SPI, I2C, USART, PWM, ADC, DAC, reset, and power pins (+5V, +3.3V, GND, Vin, AREF, …)

• Sensors – 6-axis accelerometer and gyroscope

• Hardware Encryption Module – Microchip ATECC608A secure encryption chip

• Debugging – via micro USB port, also supports 6-pin SWD interface

• Size – Compatible with the original Arduino Nano

• Wireless Module – Based on Nordic nRF52480 Arm Cortex-M4F microcontroller @64MHz, 1MB Flash, 256KB RAM, and BLE5.0 U-blox NINA B306 module;

• Expansion– 2×15-pin expansion port includes GPIO, SPI, I2C, USART, PWM, ADC, DAC, reset, and power pins (+5V, +3.3V, GND, Vin, AREF, …);

• Sensors – 9-axis accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer;

• Debugging – via micro USB port, also supports 6-pin SWD interface;

• Size – Compatible with the original Arduino Nano;

Nano 33 BLE has lower power consumption compared to other boards of the same size, making it more suitable for wearable devices and motion sensing projects. Additionally, with support for Bluetooth 5.0, this board also becomes an ideal choice for some automation projects.

Arduino Nano BLE Sense is basically the same as the Nano 33 BLE but includes additional sensors and hardware encryption module:

• Wireless Module – Based on Nordic nRF52480 Arm Cortex-M4F microcontroller @ 64MHz, 1MB Flash, 256KB RAM, and BLE5.0 U-blox NINA B306 module

• Expansion– 2x 15-pin expansion port includes GPIO, SPI, I2C, USART, PWM, ADC, DAC, reset, and power pins (+5V, +3.3V, GND, Vin, AREF, …)

• Sensors – 9-axis accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, temperature, pressure, humidity, light, color, gesture recognition, and digital microphone

• Hardware Encryption Module – Microchip ATECC608A secure encryption chip

• Debugging – via micro USB port, also supports 6-pin SWD interface

• Size – Compatible with the original Arduino Nano

The onboard additional sensors enable this board to support automation applications and interactive wearable device applications.
