On July 4th, technician Zeng Xiaobing from the Agricultural Development Service Center of the 63rd Regiment skillfully operated at his office computer, browsing through clear images of pest conditions and related data. Based on the current trends in pest conditions, he guided the teams and farmers to implement comprehensive pest control measures in the fields. This marks the official establishment and operation of the IoT pest image information automatic collection system in the 63rd Regiment.
To accelerate the construction of smart agriculture, better serve modern agricultural production, and promote the economic and social development of the regiment, in July of this year, the Seed Management Station of the Fourth Division initiated the construction of a corn protection monitoring system with a total investment of over 150,000 yuan. This project consists of an automatic pest information collection system and IoT information processing equipment (IoT management platform). To ensure that this new equipment and technology effectively contribute to pest control in corn seed production and other crops, the 63rd Regiment leveraged the strong technical advantages of Henan Jiaduo Technology Co., Ltd., carefully selected the site, and conducted high-standard construction. A new IoT pest monitoring lamp and pest image information collection and transmission system have been established in the 12th Company, and after precise adjustments by technicians, the system has begun normal operation. Now, technicians at the Agricultural Development Service Center can directly log into the IoT management platform via computer to monitor real-time changes in pest conditions such as cotton bollworm and corn borer, scientifically guiding teams and farmers in pest control and protection work, thus changing the cumbersome procedures of manual pest observation, saving time, and greatly improving work efficiency, providing technical support for agricultural high yield and harvest.

Today marks the first day of the official use of the Jiaduo pest information collection system. Everyone can see that the uploaded images are very clear. The Jiaduo information system is automated, and with the strong assistance of the Seed Supervision Station of the Fourth Division, it has been successfully installed in our regiment. This greatly reduces the stress of our pest monitoring personnel and formalizes and digitizes pest monitoring processes. The pest reporting technology of the 63rd Regiment should see a significant improvement from now on, providing substantial help for predicting and controlling major pests in our agricultural production, particularly for corn and cotton.
As of now, the 63rd Regiment has implemented pest control measures primarily based on biological control and the protection of natural enemies, installing over 50 cotton bollworm pheromone traps and 12 solar frequency-vibration insecticidal lamps across all agricultural teams, creating a favorable ecological environment for agricultural development in the regiment.
