Espressif’s ESP32-P4_Function_EV_Board is a multimedia development board designed based on the ESP32-P4 chip. The ESP32-P4 is equipped with a dual-core 400 MHz RISC-V processor and supports up to 32 MB PSRAM. Additionally, the ESP32-P4 supports USB 2.0 standards, MIPI-CSI/DSI, H264 Encoder, and various peripherals to meet customers’ needs for developing low-cost, low-power multimedia products.
Most of the board’s pins are routed to pin headers, allowing developers to easily connect various peripheral devices via jumper wires according to actual needs. It can also be plugged into a breadboard for use.

The development board is equipped with the ESP32-C6-MINI-1 module for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth communication; two sets of ESP-Pro interfaces for programming and debugging the ESP32-P4 chip and ESP32-C6 module; and through the external audio Codec chip, audio PA, microphone, headphone, and speaker interfaces, it can achieve rich audio processing and applications. Two high-speed USB 2.0 interfaces support both Type-A and Type-C, which can be used for communication with the ESP32-P4 chip; the MIPI CSI/DSI interface is used for connecting external camera modules and LCD expansion boards for image and video transmission and display. In addition, the board is equipped with 16MB SPI Flash, battery interface, MicroSD card slot, and multiple peripheral interface headers.

The ESP32-P4 is a high-performance MCU that supports ultra-large on-chip memory and has strong image and voice processing capabilities. This MCU includes a high-performance (HP) system and a low-power (LP) system. The HP system is driven by a dual-core RISC-V processor and includes rich peripherals; the LP system is driven by a single-core RISC-V processor, with peripherals optimized for low-power applications.
