MATLAB
MATLAB is the most widely used tool for mathematical modeling in the mathematics profession. It is often joked that the success in mathematical modeling competitions depends on who can find the most suitable plugins in the MATLAB library.
1
Basic Definition
MATLAB is a commercial mathematical software produced by MathWorks in the United States, used in fields such as data analysis, wireless communications, deep learning, image processing and computer vision, signal processing, quantitative finance and risk management, robotics, control systems, and more.
2
Extended Interpretation
MATLAB consists of a series of tools that facilitate users in utilizing MATLAB functions and files, many of which employ a graphical user interface. This includes the MATLAB desktop and command window, history command window, editor and debugger, path search, and browsers for user help, workspace, and files.
The advantages of MATLAB include: (1) Efficient numerical and symbolic computation capabilities, freeing users from complex mathematical operation analysis;
(2) Comprehensive graphical processing capabilities for visualizing computational results and programming;
(3) A user-friendly interface and a natural language close to mathematical expressions, making it easy for scholars to learn and master;
(4) A rich set of application toolboxes (such as signal processing toolbox, communication toolbox, etc.), providing users with a large number of convenient and practical processing tools.
