IPM Protection Phenomenon One

Unplug the power plug for 3 minutes and then power it on again. If H5 appears immediately: If the compressor wiring is not incorrect or loose, replace the outdoor unit board. If H5 still appears immediately after replacing the outdoor unit board, please replace the compressor.

IPM Protection Phenomenon Two

H5 protection appears only after running for a period: If the operating environment is harsh (such as a dirty or blocked condenser), it is considered normal protection; if the environment is not harsh, further checks are needed to see if the compressor wires are reversed, if the module screws are tightened, and if there are any compressor faults or system blockage faults. If none of these faults exist, replace the outdoor unit controller.

Note: ①: H5 module protection may not immediately display a code indoors. In this case, if multiple restarts do not restore normal operation, you can press the light button (for some models press the sleep button) 6 times to display it, but the outdoor indicator light will flash;

②: The operating environment includes low power supply voltage, excessively hot surrounding environment, or a dirty or blocked condenser.
