Shenzhen hardware manufacturer FEVM recently launched a mini PC named FN60G. This product looks somewhat similar to the Apple Mac Studio but offers superior performance in a more compact size. The FN60G is equipped with an Intel Core i9-14900KF processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 laptop GPU, making it one of the most powerful mini PCs on the market.
The dimensions of the FN60G are 16.8 x 16.8 x 13.7 cm, making it smaller than the Mac Studio’s 19.7 x 19.7 x 9.5 cm while slightly increasing in height. Despite its compact size, its performance should not be underestimated. The i9-14900KF processor outperforms Apple’s M2 Ultra in both single-core and multi-core performance, and with the dedicated RTX 4090 laptop GPU, it has significant advantages in graphics processing and gaming performance.
In terms of internal configuration, the FN60G features two DDR5-5200 SODIMM memory slots and one NVMe M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD slot, with the maximum supported capacity yet to be announced. To ensure high-performance operation, the machine uses Thermalright’s all-in-one liquid cooling solution, effectively preventing the processor from overheating and throttling.
In terms of interfaces, the FN60G is equipped with a DC power input, two HDMI 2.1 ports, two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, four USB-A ports, one USB-C port, and two Ethernet ports at the back. The front includes two USB-A ports, one USB-C port, a 3.5mm audio combo jack, and an SD card reader. Additionally, the device supports Wi-Fi 7 wireless connectivity to meet high-speed network demands.
The FN60G primarily competes with other high-performance mini PCs, such as the Minisforum AtomMan G7 Pt equipped with an AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX and Radeon RX 7600M XT GPU, as well as the ASUS ROG NUC with an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H and RTX 4070 desktop GPU. In comparison, the FN60G stands out with its more powerful processor and GPU combination, delivering superior performance.
It is worth mentioning that although it uses the RTX 4090 laptop GPU, its performance is comparable to the RTX 3090 Ti desktop GPU, surpassing the RTX 4070 in the ROG NUC and the Radeon RX 7600M XT in the AtomMan G7 Pt. This gives the FN60G a clear advantage in graphics processing and gaming performance.
Moreover, the FN60G offers high upgradeability. Users can easily replace the CPU, memory, and storage devices, and even swap out the MXM format GPU. This flexibility is relatively rare in high-performance mini PCs, providing greater expansion potential compared to high-end laptops with limited upgrade options.
For users seeking high performance while saving desktop space, the FEVM FN60G is a product worth noting. It integrates top-tier hardware configurations within a compact body while offering excellent upgradeability, catering to the needs of professional users and gaming enthusiasts.
