Five years ago,
TI launched the DLP Light Commander,
helping developers to use TI technology more conveniently,
and today,
TI has introduced the most affordable projection display application solution to meet the needs of cost-conscious audiences,
with a micro-sized chipset and budget-friendly EVM,
making your designs easier instantly,
TI invites you to experience: Plug! Play! Display!
Do you remember the article about TI’s most affordable display application solution, Plug! Play! Display!? Within an hour of its release, it surprisingly “stirred” many TI fans and successfully garnered their numerous praises, with many expressing their wishes like “Super cool,” “Worth the wait,” “I want one,” and “I wish I could get one too”~~~
Since everyone has such high enthusiasm for TI DLP technology~~~ I will send a heavy-duty resource guide to the netizens, for more information about TI DLP® projection display technology, please keep scrolling down!
TI is vigorously developing groundbreaking DLP® projection display technology. As the leader in this technology, TI is committed to providing customers with the most ideal solutions. Currently, TI supports evaluation modules (EVM) including the DLP Pico™ display TRP product line, such asDLP2010 (widescreen video graphics array [WVGA]),DLP3010 (720p) andDLP4710 (1080p) products.
Today, let us once again closely witness how TI DLP® projection display technology accelerates expansion, benefits a broader audience, and unleashes infinite possibilities!!!
TI DLP Pico technology has already expanded into numerous application fields, including augmented reality, virtual reality, aftermarket heads-up displays, mobile smart TVs, point of sale, virtual assistants, commercial gaming, and micro projectors. As the business scope and ecosystem expand, developers are looking for a broader product portfolio to cover markets dominated by low-cost processors. Developers seeking to evaluate DLP technology and develop display applications are looking for the most economical solutions.
To make TI’s technology accessible to a wider audience, TI has launched the most economical Digital Micromirror Device (DMD) and DLP evaluation module (EVM) — DLP LightCrafter™ display DLP2000 EVM. This technology can be used as a standalone unit or in combination with your preferred low-cost processor. When used independently, it is powered by a 5V DC power supply and can display an image with quality, contrast, and photo/display panel images, and can connect to the processor via a 16/24-bit Red-Green-Blue (RGB) parallel interface and I2C for communication. In fact, the device has the same pin configuration as the BeagleBone Black.

Realize almost unlimited display possibilities, including demand-based freeform display applications. When not in use, the home control panel can disappear and reappear when terminal users need to access it. To optimize industrial design and attract consumers, in real life, smart home displays can take any shape. Now there are even battery-powered pocket-sized portable smart TVs. Human-machine interfaces used in factories can be projected in holographic form onto steel surfaces to provide tamper-proof panels.
The latest 0.2-inch DLP2000 chipset and DLP® LightCrafter™ Display 2000 evaluation module (EVM) enable you to use TI DLP technology more economically and design demand-based freeform display applications, such as mobile smart TVs, micro projectors, digital signage, smart home, projection displays for smartphones and tablets, control panels, and Internet of Things (IoT) display solutions.
