On August 26, Haizhou Street’s livelihood service project adds a new highlight——The Meiyuan Community Health Service Station has successfully relocated to the west entrance of Meiyuan Park after renovation. This new station is not only an important upgrade to the livelihood services in Haizhou Street but also marks the official operation of the city’s first park-embedded community health service station, creating a new health service experience for residents where they can enjoy the scenery while receiving medical treatment.

Shen Yilun, Director of the Haizhou Street Office, Tang Congsheng, Deputy Director of the Municipal Health and Health Bureau, and Chen Jianang, Deputy Director of the Haizhou Street Office, along with other relevant leaders attended the unveiling ceremony.
For many years, Haizhou Street has always prioritized improving livelihood services. The transformation of this health service station is one of the street’s livelihood projects. The project innovatively “embeds” the Meiyuan Community Health Service Station, originally located in the Meiyuan Sanli Unit Community, into Meiyuan Park, achieving a deep integration of medical health services with the park’s ecological environment, upgrading the resident’s medical experience from “functional” to “comfortable”.

It is reported that the newly opened Meiyuan Community Health Service Station has a construction area of approximately 150 square meters, with the treatment space expanded by 50% compared to before the relocation. The overall decoration follows a park-style Chinese retro design, cleverly integrating modern medical functions with natural ecological elements, preserving the elegant charm of traditional Chinese style while meeting the functional needs of modern medical services, making the medical environment more warm and natural.

The internal functional layout has been further optimized, with clear zoning and convenient processes, including general consultation rooms, ECG rooms, infusion rooms, pharmacies, and other spaces, equipped with standardized basic medical equipment such as automatic height and weight machines, automatic blood pressure monitors, and ECG machines, allowing for regular appointment referrals, blood tests, chronic disease follow-ups, health education, and other daily medical services.
Notably, the station has added a traditional Chinese medicine consultation room, allowing residents to enjoy unique traditional Chinese therapies such as moxibustion, cupping, plastering, and massage right at their doorstep, filling the gap in traditional Chinese medical services in surrounding communities and further improving the grassroots medical service system.

On the morning of the opening day, many residents from the surrounding area came specifically to experience the services of the new station. “It’s so nice now! Right outside the consultation room are green trees and flowers. After seeing the doctor, there’s no rush to go home; I can take a walk in the park and enjoy the breeze, which makes me feel relaxed! This is truly a practical service for us common people!” Aunt Wang, who just had her blood pressure measured, said with a smile. Many residents also praised the relocation of the station, believing it not only facilitates daily medical visits but also seamlessly integrates health management with leisure life.

At the event site, the expert team from Haining Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital also conducted free consultation activities, providing residents with free medical consultations, health guidance, and medication consultations, receiving unanimous praise from the community residents, adding a “warmth” to the opening of the new station.

“The establishment and opening of the park-embedded community health service station is an important part of Haizhou Street’s construction of a ’15-minute medical service circle’ and an innovative attempt to optimize the allocation of grassroots medical resources,” said Chen Jianang, Deputy Director of the Haizhou Street Office. In the future, the street will continue to focus on residents’ health needs, continuously improve the grassroots medical service network, and promote more community health service stations to achieve quality upgrades, allowing residents to enjoy high-quality and convenient health services right at their doorstep.
