Calculating the days, it is now the month of Lei Feng. Lei Feng’s spirit of being helpful and showing love is worth learning from. According to previous years, the “Charity Sale” should be held around this time, and I instantly felt happy.

The teacher informed us in advance about the time for the charity sale, so we could prepare our items. Reflecting on the last time, I thought that besides food, handmade items seemed to sell the best. Initially, I wanted my mom to make cold noodles, but the cost was too high and hard to realize, so I planned to sell pendants, but they wouldn’t arrive in time. I decided to sell handmade items—twisted flowers.

Twisted flowers are made from twisting sticks, and there is a skill to making these flowers. They come in many types, with stems and without; they also have various shapes, such as autumn chrysanthemums, tulips, and large roses. However, the ideal is beautiful, but reality is harsh. Why do I say this? First, the colors of the twisting sticks are too bright for the deep colors, and too light for the pale colors. Second, the quantity of twisting sticks—there are too many of a single color, while the macaron colors are few. Lastly, the cost is too high; a pack is too small and costs 5 yuan. I am usually a very stingy person, to be precise, a miser—someone who doesn’t part with a dime, and this expensive price stabbed me hard in the heart. If I didn’t buy them, I would have nothing to sell, so I made up my mind and bought two packs.

The process of making them was relatively easy. The program was simple, but trimming the fluff was difficult and made my nose uncomfortable. However, after three days and nights, the quantity of products increased significantly.

Then came the tense and exciting part, which was to take my “weapons” to the “battlefield”. I initially set my prices too high; some people wanted to buy, but when they heard the price, they left. So I lowered the price and sold a few, but the buyers were still too few, so I started calling out: “Flowers for sale, flowers for sale,” and recommended my flowers to the customers, also promoting other classmates’ items during the sales process.

After an hour, I still had many left. So I made up my mind to venture out. I loudly called out to the children, but I am timid by nature, retreating and advancing three times, yet my heart thought: if I can’t sell them, I won’t recover the cost. Come on!

While venturing outside, I found many children sitting in the shade to rest. They might be tired or afraid of the sun. So I walked around asking, and I landed a big order, selling two flowers at once.

In the end, after lowering the price again, I sold everything, making 39 yuan and becoming the sales champion.I looked up to the sky and exclaimed: “Ha ha, ha ha ha!”

I noticed that water and drinks sold very well, with several people coming to my stall asking if I had drinks or water. Perhaps they were thirsty after wandering for a long time and wanted to drink water.Next time, I should buy drinks to make a big profit.
