The A210 product targeting edge server scenarios has been officially released and will soon provide sample testing application opportunities for developers, partners, and customers. Furthermore, high-end server products based on the new generation of high-performance RISC-V cores are expected to debut in 2026, with FPGA remote testing applications already open.
Allwinner Technology’s Multiple RISC-V Chips, Robot Chips Attract Attention
The RISC-V reduced instruction set, customizable architecture, and high configurability make it inherently suitable for resource-constrained embedded and control chips. It is reported that several companies, including Beijing Junzheng, Allwinner Technology, and Guoxin Technology, are currently advancing mass production projects for IP or chip products based on the RISC-V instruction set.For example, the products displayed on-site include Allwinner Technology’s R128 and D1 chips, among which the R128 is equipped with the Xuantie C906 processor, a highly integrated wireless audio chip that integrates the RISC-V Xuantie C906 CPU, HiFi5 DSP, Arm® Star-MC1 MCU, supports WLAN and Bluetooth dual wireless communication protocols, and also integrates an audio-video subsystem and a rich set of common interfaces. The chip can be applied to smart speakers, smart home products, and more.In addition, in the field of robotic vacuum cleaners, Allwinner Technology’s multiple products empower mainstream robotic vacuum companies. For instance, the Roborock vacuum cleaner is equipped with the Allwinner MR527 chip, which features the Xuantie E906 processor. The MR527 chip is an eight-core high-performance chip specifically designed for robots, integrating 8-core Arm® Cortex®-A55 CPU, NPU, GPU, MCU, and other high-performance computing units, boasting powerful hardware encoding capabilities and a rich set of sensor interfaces, supporting GPIO, PCIe, SDIO, USB, SPI, TWI, UART, GPADC, LRADC, PWM, and other common interfaces. It is suitable for various product forms such as vacuum cleaners, lawn mowers, service robots, and quadruped robots.
Lingsi Micro and Boliu Intelligent Launch EC Chips and Edge Computing Chips with Xuantie RISC-V Processors
Lingsi Micro, established in 2019, is a domestic professional wireless IC product supplier and application solution provider, aiming to become a professional IoT chip and solution provider.Among the excellent cooperative products displayed at the Damo Academy, Lingsi Micro’s LS101x stands out. The LS101x series products are embedded control (EC) chips designed by Lingsi Micro Electronics specifically for portable computing platforms, featuring a 32-bit RISC-V core with a clock speed of 144MHz, various interfaces, and security encryption functions. It supports the entire range of Intel (including MTL platform), AMD, and mainstream domestic CPUs. This product is widely used in consumer-grade laptops, high-performance gaming laptops, tablets, Mini PCs, and other computer products.Boliu Intelligent also launched the BL606P, which is equipped with the Xuantie C906 processor. This product is a dual-core AIoT edge computing chip that integrates Wi-Fi, BT dual-mode, Zigbee, Thread, and other multi-mode wireless protocols, making it the industry’s first high-integration chip with a single antenna supporting four wireless protocols. It integrates a 320MHz RISC-V MCU and a 640MHz DSP, as well as large-capacity memory, and includes multi-channel high-precision audio ADC and DAC, supporting multiple voice microphone arrays. This product is suitable for various smart voice interaction devices, smart control panels, smart gateways, and smart speakers that combine AI and multi-mode wireless wired gateway functions in smart IoT application scenarios and devices.
In Conclusion
Hu Zhenbo, CEO of Chip Technology, recently stated that RISC-V is unlikely to disrupt Arm in the short term but will form a complementary pattern. RISC-V has cost and flexibility advantages in niche markets such as low-power IoT and automotive electronics, but it still needs to break through ecological barriers in high-performance computing.2025 is expected to be a year of accelerated deployment for edge AI terminals. Bao Yungang, Secretary-General of the China Open Instruction Ecology (RISC-V) Alliance, also pointed out that the computing power demand for AI inference is showing new characteristics, and RISC-V + AI will become a new combination in the future. Manufacturers such as Rockchip, Allwinner Technology, Beijing Junzheng, and Boliu Intelligent are expected to launch more RISC-V-based new products this year. The latest information shared by Rockchip during a securities company survey indicates that the company is developing the next generation of advanced process flagship chips, with the chip definition not yet disclosed. Some SoC chips have partial RISC-V modules, and there are also new products based on this architecture under development.
