Research on Key Technologies for Ensuring the Operation of IoT Service Systems

The Internet of Things (IoT) service system has become an important component of new critical infrastructure in various countries. With the continuous development of internet technologies, malware, and attack techniques, there has been a noticeable increase in security attacks targeting critical infrastructure globally, with the impact and scope of these security incidents continuing to expand. Therefore, ensuring that open IoT service systems operate in a secure (security and safety) working state has become a critical issue that needs to be addressed.

In response to the characteristics and security operation requirements of IoT service systems, the author has researched virtualization-based runtime monitoring and enforcement technologies. This involves ensuring the correct and secure operation of IoT service systems under the conditions of runtime monitors and security isolation. The author explores runtime verification and enforcement technologies, focusing on aspects such as virtual machine introspection, memory forensics, multi-observation source event fusion, and concurrent verification. Key technologies for non-intrusive runtime monitoring are studied, and an out-of-the-box non-intrusive runtime assurance solution is proposed.
