On July 17, Quectel, a global leader in IoT solutions, announced the official launch of its new high-performanceMCU Zigbee + BLE module KCMA32S.
This module is centered around multi-protocol fusion technology, integrating high performance, compact size, and high security, and with advanced connectivity technology and compact design, it will significantly drive the iterative upgrade of connectivity technologies in smart lighting, smart buildings, smart homes, and other scenarios.

Powerful Configuration Enhances Performance and Security Foundation
KCMA32S is equipped with the Silicon Labs EFR32MG21 ultra-low power SoC chip, supporting Zigbee 3.0 and BLE 5.3 protocols, and through a multi-protocol coexistence architecture, it achieves a leap in terminal communication performance. The module uses an ARM Cortex-M33 processor with a maximum clock frequency of 80 MHz, easily meeting the efficient computing needs in various scenarios.
In terms of storage configuration, KCMA32S offers flexible combination options: 64 KB RAM paired with 768 KB flash, or 96 KB SRAM paired with 1024 KB flash, accurately adapting to diverse application scenarios and providing ample storage support for developers to build high-reliability solutions.
Support for Zigbee or BLE mesh networking is one of the core features of KCMA32S. Its mesh topology significantly enhances network expansion capabilities and node capacity, demonstrating strong applicability for devices requiring “many-to-many” bidirectional communication, such as in smart lighting, smart buildings, and smart homes. Additionally, KCMA32S also supports enhanced security options — Secure Vault, providing a higher level of security for IoT terminals.

Flexible Scene Adaptation Expands Smart Application Boundaries
KCMA32S adopts LCC+LGA packaging, with dimensions of only 20.0 mm × 12.0 mm × 2.2 mm, effectively controlling costs while promoting the miniaturization of terminal products, achieving a balance between size and economy.
The module is equipped with 20 GPIO interfaces, which can be reused as I2C, UART, SPI, I2S, and other interfaces in the QuecOpen solution. At the same time, KCMA32S also provides PCB antennas, RF coaxial connectors, pin antennas, and other diverse interface options, along with a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, ultra-high receiving sensitivity of -104 dBm, and maximum transmission power of +20 dBm, allowing for flexible adaptation to various design schemes and meeting the connectivity needs of various devices.
Quectel’s Deputy General Manager Sun Yanming stated: “The launch of KCMA32S greatly expands the application boundaries of compact high-performance IoT solutions. This module integrates powerful multi-protocol connectivity capabilities, advanced security features, and compact design, which will assist developers in creating more intelligent and scalable IoT terminal devices in various scenarios such as smart lighting, building automation, and consumer electronics.”
