Software Overview
Proteus software is an EDA tool published by Lab Center Electronics in the UK (the sole distributor in China is Guangzhou Fengbiao Electronic Technology Co., Ltd.). It not only has the simulation capabilities of other EDA tools but also simulates microcontrollers and peripheral devices. It is currently one of the best tools for simulating microcontrollers and peripheral devices. Although the promotion in China has just started, it has already gained favor among microcontroller enthusiasts, educators involved in microcontroller teaching, and science and technology workers dedicated to microcontroller development and applications.
Installation Steps:
1. Right-click the software compressed package and choose to extract to “Proteus8.6”.
2. In the extracted folder, find Proteus_8.6_SP2_Pro, right-click to open it.
3. Click Browse to change the installation path. It is recommended to install it on a disk other than C. You can create a new folder named Proteus 8.6 on D or another disk, then click Next.
4. Click Next.
5. During installation (wait for about 5 minutes).
6. Click Finish.
7. In the extracted folder, find the Translations folder, right-click and choose Copy.
8. Find Proteus 8.6 on the D drive, right-click to open it.
9. Right-click in the empty space and choose Paste.
10. Click Yes.
11. Check the option to apply this action to the next 26 conflicts, then click Copy and Replace.
12. Find Proteus 8Professional on the desktop, right-click to open it.
13. Installation complete.
