After twenty years of dedicated research, the efforts have paid off, and Longxin Zhongke’s 2K3000/3B6000M chip has successfully taped out!
This marks a significant milestone as our country has systematically mastered the key core technologies in general-purpose processor chip design, graphics processors, AI processors, and foundational software design.
This means that our country’s Longxin has formed a complete series of products across three lines: desktop, server, and terminal, capable of delivering high-performance and cost-effective chip products in various fields!
The two chip products from Longxin Zhongke are different packaging versions based on the same silicon wafer, targeting different fields; one is aimed at industrial control, while the other is for mobile terminal applications.
In terms of performance, the newly released second-generation Longxin products have doubled the graphics performance compared to the first-generation 2K2000 version, while also supporting general computing acceleration and AI acceleration, achieving peak performance of up to 8 TOPS.
Regarding upstream and downstream hardware compatibility, the successfully taped-out Longxin 2K3000 integrates a rich set of IO expansion interfaces, including PCIe 3.0, USB 3.0, SATA 3.0, GMAC, and eMMC, which means it can achieve perfect compatibility in both desktop and laptop scenarios.
On the stock market, Longxin Zhongke’s shares saw a significant increase recently; as of April 3, the closing price was 129.75 yuan/share, up by 3.75, a rise of 2.98%, with a total market value increase of nearly 1.5 billion yuan.
The release of this chip by Longxin Zhongke can be said to have completely freed itself from dependence on advanced process technology, which aligns relatively well with our country’s current process level, as mature processes still dominate in our country, while top-tier chip processes are mainly controlled by international giants like TSMC, Samsung, and Intel.
However, on another level, our country has already reached the mainstream international standard in chip design. Although we currently cannot achieve advanced chip processes, once we break through the corresponding infrastructure and build EUV lithography machines, combined with our advanced chip design, we can achieve full-process production of top-tier chips.
