According to Lian Zhian, head of the OpenHarmony Loongson architecture team, Alibaba’s Tsinghua Unigroup RISC-V chip has been successfully adapted to the open-source Harmony OpenHarmony.
Lian Zhian recently released a demonstration video showing a development board equipped with the Tsinghua Unigroup Yiying 1520 running the OpenHarmony 3.2 Release version, which is capable of normal touch operations.
It is worth mentioning that in January of this year, RunKai Hong released a development platform for the OpenHarmony standard system based on the Tsinghua Unigroup SoC prototype “Yiying 1520” called the HH-SCDAYU800 development kit.
According to previous reports from IT Home, Alibaba’s Tsinghua Unigroup Yiying 1520 is a high-performance RISC-V SoC prototype designed based on the Wujian 600 platform, with performance covering various scenarios including edge computing, artificial intelligence, image recognition, and multimedia.
The Wujian 600 platform supports a 4-core high-performance RISC-V processor with a maximum clock speed of 2.5GHz, achieving comprehensive optimization of the CPU+XPU heterogeneous architecture; it supports 64-bit LPDDR4X with a maximum throughput of 4266MT/s; integrates 4TOPs of Int8 AI computing power; and meets the GP TEE international security standards throughout the entire process. The Wujian 600 platform is expected to significantly reduce chip development costs and risks for chip companies and greatly shorten the R&D cycle.
