Since the release of the Snapdragon 888 Plus, news about the next-generation Snapdragon 898 (tentative name, final name uncertain) has been continuous. It is expected that the Samsung Galaxy S22 series will be one of the first flagship devices to feature it. Recently, a suspected new Samsung S22 device has appeared in the Geekbench benchmark database, let’s take a brief look at its performance~
As seen in the image above, the model number for the new Samsung device is SM-S901U. Due to it being an engineering sample, the benchmark score is not representative, but we can see that its CPU specifications include an octa-core architecture: 1 X2 super core with a maximum frequency of 3GHz, 3 large cores at 2.5GHz, and 4 medium cores at 1.79GHz.Additionally, reports indicate that the Snapdragon 898 will be manufactured using Samsung’s 4nm process technology, with the GPU being Adreno 730. It remains to be seen how the final production version will perform~ Specific leaks about the Samsung S22 also suggest that it will still be positioned as a compact flagship, featuring a 6.06-inch screen, which is smaller than the iPhone 12. We are also looking forward to the final performance of the actual device~
