To build a communication bridge between schools and enterprises, promote deep integration of industry, academia, and research, and facilitate precise alignment of talent cultivation with industry needs, the “Perception of IoT Visits Enterprises to Expand Employment Opportunities – 2025 SNPARK Summer School-Enterprise Empowerment Industry Talent Growth Activity (Phase III)” was successfully held at Softcom Power Technology Services Wuxi Co., Ltd. on the morning of September 2. The event was co-hosted by the IoT Engineering College of Wuxi University and the Wuxi National University Science and Technology Park. More than 20 participants, including Zang Wenjia, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the IoT Engineering College, Liu Wei, head of the Data Science and Big Data Technology program, counselor Miao Zhigang, and student representatives, attended the event.
Li Jun, the ecological head of the East China region at Softcom Power Technology Services Wuxi Co., Ltd., warmly welcomed our delegation. During the on-site visit, faculty and students from the college toured the Taihu Bay Vehicle Networking Technology Innovation Center, immersively experiencing cutting-edge technologies and industrial achievements in the fields of IoT and vehicle networking. Through detailed explanations from professionals, students gained a deeper understanding of the construction progress of the innovation center, the development model of Wuxi’s vehicle networking, application implementation, and the construction of the industrial chain ecosystem, further enhancing their understanding of professional knowledge and providing a clear industrial landscape for their future studies and career planning.
In the subsequent seminar, technical experts and human resources leaders from Softcom Power discussed industry technology trends, job competency requirements, and career development paths with faculty and students. The technical experts systematically introduced the mainstream technology frameworks and typical practical cases in the IoT field, helping students bridge the gap between theory and practice; the human resources leaders analyzed talent demand standards from the perspective of corporate recruitment, providing practical guidance for students’ job planning. The interactive session was lively, with participating students actively asking questions and engaging in thorough discussions with corporate representatives on professional technology, internship opportunities, and career development.
