In response to the Dalian Education Bureau’s “Dalian Education Digital Classroom” initiatives during the pandemic, our school developed related courses for high school and middle school students during the extended school closure. Since the launch on February 27, the entire school has worked together, with all teachers actively overcoming the numerous challenges posed by the pandemic, tirelessly creating micro-courses. In just one month, 39 teachers completed nearly 180 micro-courses. As of April 17, Dalian TianTu Limited Television has adopted 155 high-quality micro-classes. Starting from March 3, these premium courses have been broadcast daily on Dalian TianTu Cable TV channels for first and second-year high school and middle school students, and are also available on online platforms such as China Mobile’s “He Education” platform, China Mobile’s “Migu Video”, and China Telecom’s “Internet + Classroom”, allowing for on-demand viewing at any time.

Introduction to Flowers Suitable for Home Hydroponics
Hydroponic flowers are beautiful and ornamental.However, not all flowers are suitable for hydroponics.Common household hydroponic flowers include: Lucky Bamboo, Moneywort, Queen of Luck, Hyacinth, etc.
Materials Needed
12 small water bottles, 1 large water bottle, a large needle, string, scissors, and a pot of pothos. ▼
Cutting the Bottles
Cut the small water bottles and the large water bottle about one-third down from the cap, making 12 small bottles and one large bottle, keeping the cap side for later use.
Remove the Handle
Use a wallpaper knife to cut the large bottle.
Tip Be careful when cutting the bottles.
Mark the Large Water Bottle
Along the cut edge of the large water bottle, divide it into 12 equal parts and mark with a marker in preparation for the next step of drilling holes.
Make the Wind Chime Hanging String
Use a large needle to make holes in the bottle caps, thread the string, and tie knots to create the wind chime hanging string.
Drill Holes and Hang the Wind Chime
Use a large needle to make holes in the large water bottle, connecting it to the first small water bottle. Measure the length of the connecting string to be approximately 28cm.
Attach the Other Wind Chimes
Sequentially attach the other 11 small bottles, ensuring that there is a gradient between each bottle to form the spiral shape of the wind chime.
Adjust the String Length
Hang the wind chime high and adjust the lengths of the wind chime strings one by one.
Select Pothos with Aerial Roots
Choose pothos with aerial roots and cut them close to the soil for later use.
Understanding Aerial Roots
Aerial roots refer to roots that are exposed to the air; especially those that grow on epiphytic plants and climbing plants that do not contact the soil, but typically serve to anchor the plant to a support and often have photosynthetic functions. These roots can help the plant absorb moisture from the air and can develop into adventitious roots, which are beneficial for plant growth.
Planting the Pothos
Individually plant the pothos with aerial roots into the wind chime containers.
Add Water or Nutrient Solution
Add water or nutrient solution to the bottles, ensuring that the solution reaches the roots of the pothos, but do not fill too much.
