LattePanda uses AMI BIOS, and you can conveniently change the boot logo using the official tool.
Step 1: Download the IFWI file (BIOS + CSME, 16MB) from the official website. The following operations are based on this version.
Step 2: Use the AMI Change Logo tool, select the IFWI file mentioned above in Load Image, and then save the built-in logo using Save Logo.
The saved logo is in BMP format.
Check the properties; this is an 800X400, 24Bits BMP image. Usually, BIOS supports both BMP and JPEG formats, but to be safe, it’s best to use the same format as the previous logo. For example, here we are replacing the image with the logo of Shuangyashan University, with the same resolution and also a 24Bit BMP format.
Then continue using the Change Logo software, use Browse to select the image above. Finally, use Save Image As to save it as another file to create the replacement logo’s IFWI.
Step 3: We use FPTW to perform the flashing. This is also software provided by LattePanda. In the cmd window in administrator mode, use fptw -f newlogo.bin to flash:
Special note: Flashing IFWI carries risks, so it is best to prepare a SPINOR programmer in advance. If the flashing fails, it can be recovered at any time.
