Hello everyone, I am Chi Ming from the Changbanpo strategy team. Today, I want to share a guide about the new hero — Yu Ji. This Caribbean lady with a sexy figure has been highly anticipated by players even before her official launch.
First, let’s take a look at Yu Ji’s skills and commentary.
After exiting combat, the power of the tree spirit empowers Yu Ji’s next basic attack, dealing 200 (+2.0AD) physical damage and increasing attack range. The tree spirit bind applies a 90% slow for 1.5 seconds.
Skill Commentary and Summary:
1. If the player has not entered combat for about 6 seconds, it is considered to have exited combat, triggering the passive effect;
2. Under the passive effect, Yu Ji’s attack deals an additional 200 (+2.0AD) damage and can slow and crit;
3. The passive damage increases with hero level, with a growth of 20 fixed damage per level, maxing out at 480 (+2.0AD);
4. Yu Ji’s attack range is 6300 yards, increasing to 8000 yards when the passive is triggered;
5. The combat state includes the use of skills, which will not trigger Yu Ji’s passive;
6. After triggering the passive effect, using active attack skills and being hit will not cancel the passive effect.
After charging power, Yu Ji fires a powerful arrow empowered by the tree spirit, dealing 320 (+1.56AD) physical damage to each enemy in its path.
Base damage growth: 320→415→510→605→700→795
Skill Commentary and Summary:
1. The fixed damage growth and physical scaling of this skill are very high;
2. The skill has a long range, but its width is only one hero’s width, making it harder to hit moving targets compared to the ultimate of other heroes;
3. The cooldown of this skill is not affected by skill level;
4. Due to the charging mechanism, think twice before using this skill in close combat with enemy heroes.
Increases Yu Ji’s movement speed, during which she dodges all physical attacks.
Cooldown reduction per level: 15→14→13→12→11→10
Movement speed increase per level: 30%→36%→42%→48%→54%→60%
Skill Commentary and Summary:
1. Unlike other marksmen, Yu Ji’s second skill does not deal damage and is purely a support skill;
2. This skill can significantly increase Yu Ji’s movement speed and provides immunity to all physical damage, but cannot avoid control effects;
3. The duration of this skill is about 2 seconds, and the cooldown time is relatively long;
4. Use this skill wisely to dodge truly threatening attacks, predicting whether you will face physical or magical damage, and whether it will come from tanks, assassins, or marksmen.
Yu Ji charges towards a target, briefly stunning enemies and applying the tree spirit’s slow effect, then jumps to her maximum attack range, shooting 2 arrows rapidly at enemies, each dealing 220 (+1.2AD) physical damage.
Base damage growth: 220→280→340
Cooldown reduction per level: 20→17→14
Skill Commentary and Summary:
1. The actual damage of the skill is described as 2 segments;
2. Although the skill presents itself as 2 basic attacks, it cannot crit;
3. The skill presents as kicking the target away, controlling the distance between both sides to 6300 yards;
4. Overall, the skill’s damage is decent, but its core function is more defensive than offensive, and its cooldown is relatively short compared to other heroes’ ultimates.
1. Yu Ji is a marksman combining melee and poke, with her second skill and ultimate providing her with considerable survivability and output in close combat.
2. The first skill’s long range and high physical damage make Yu Ji a challenging marksman, but her development speed is noticeably slower than other marksmen.
3. The core advantage of this hero is her sustainability. Yu Ji’s primary attack method is basic attacks, and the damage of basic attacks is closely related to attack speed, crit rate, physical strength, crit strength, and physical penetration, so I believe Yu Ji is a true late-game hero.
4. To play Yu Ji well, the first point is to solve and shorten her development time.
Level 4 Runes Recommendation
Red — Punishment X 10
Green — Wildness X 10
Blue — Devour X 10
Level 5 Runes Recommendation
Red — Source of Disaster X 10
Green — Eagle Eye X 10
Blue — Bloodthirst X 10

(Summoner Skills: Purify, Sprint)
First item Infinity Edge. The current version of Infinity Edge provides 15% crit and high physical output without slowing down the pace;
Second item Armor Boots;
Third item Electric Blade, increasing mobility, attack speed, and burst;
Fourth item, choose between Red Cross and Bloodthirst depending on the situation. If the rune’s lifesteal is high, recommend Red Cross; otherwise, Bloodthirst;
Fifth item recommended Armor-Piercing Bow (the Armor-Piercing Bow is a penetration-type equipment. Many players like to start with it in the mid-early game due to its low cost. However, in the mid-early game, its effect compared to pure 80 physical attack power is not much advantage.)
Last item Revival Armor, can use components to transition;
This build is the standard for melee-type marksmen, possessing high attack speed, mobility, and crit rate, very fitting for Yu Ji’s characteristics, with late-game damage mainly coming from basic attacks, while skill output is relatively weak. It offers high survivability and burst.

(Summoner Skill: Punishment)
First item Jungle Knife, combined with Greedy Bite;
Second item Sprint Boots, triggering effects in sync with Yu Ji’s passive. This equipment is more suitable for a favorable situation; otherwise, Armor Boots are better;
Third and fourth items recommended Bloodthirst and Infinity, improving sustainability and melee combat capital. The order of equipment can change based on the situation;
Fifth item recommended Breaking Army;
Last item Revival Armor, suitable to transition with a 15% crit Charged Glove;
This build requires a strong crit rune foundation, with high skill output or burst potential. Using a marksman in the jungle requires a solid foundation, not recommended for novice players.

(Summoner Skills: Purify, Guardian Angel)
First item Shadow Battle Axe, stacking physical strength and cooldown reduction;
Second item choose Cooldown Boots or Armor Boots;
Third item recommended Breaking Army;
Fourth and fifth items recommended Armor-Piercing Bow and Bloodthirst, order can change based on the situation;
Last item Revival Armor, Charged Glove as a transition;
This build is for mid Yu Ji, requiring a high blue mana. The high AD bonus from the first skill and ultimate, combined with the support effect of the second skill, allows Yu Ji to perform well in this position. This build gives Yu Ji very high skill damage and more frequent skill usage.
Relying on skills to clear minion waves, accumulating a high AD bonus passive, able to attack and retreat, Yu Ji’s POKE style is undoubtedly a headache for assassins.
Ultimately, it is crucial to effectively utilize bushes and maintain a high hit rate with the first skill; otherwise, missing will be awkward.
