With the release of OnePlus 13T, there are now at least 4 options for Android compact flagship (performance) smartphones equipped with the latest flagship SOC.
They are:
OnePlus 13T (Snapdragon 8 Elite)
OPPO Find X8s (Dimensity 9400+)
Xiaomi 15 (Snapdragon 8 Elite)
vivo X200 Pro mini (Dimensity 9400)
What are the differences among them? Which one offers better value for money?
First, let’s look at
OnePlus 13T,
Snapdragon 8 Supreme Edition, starting at 2899, this device’s biggest advantages should be performance and battery life, which are not much related to the already released OnePlus 13,
It resembles more of a
OnePlus Ace 5 Pro mini version,
The core configuration is not exactly the same as the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro, there are hardly any differences; smaller size, lighter weight, larger battery, and better feel, battery life, and appearance.
In terms of price, the OnePlus 13T is about seven to eight hundred more expensive than the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro after national subsidies. If you can’t wait for a price drop, how much more are you willing to spend for the cheapest Snapdragon 8 Elite compact smartphone?
Next is the OPPO Find X8s
As another compact smartphone from the same black factory, released in the same month, in terms of positioning, configuration, and price, Find X8s is clearly of a higher grade, Find X8s has more camera features, supports wireless charging, and is rated IP69 for dust and water resistance,
The battery capacity is slightly smaller, and in terms of price, it is at the same level as Find X8s+, more expensive than the OnePlus 13T by 800, and also more expensive than the more balanced Xiaomi 15 by several hundred. For now, unless you are a fan of the black factory, it is definitely more suitable to wait for a price drop or for618 to discuss again.
Then we have the Xiaomi 15, which has been released for nearly half a year.
Compared to the previous two, the Xiaomi 15 is more balanced, with ultrasonic fingerprint recognition and USB 3.2 Gen 1 support, its aesthetics and refinement are also top-notch, but battery life and system reputation lag behind.
Currently, the Xiaomi’s national subsidy price is over 3000, which is one or two hundred more expensive than the OnePlus 13T, aside from the system, battery life, and unlocking, it is clear that the Xiaomi 15 has a greater overall advantage and much better value for money.
Finally, we have the vivo X200 Pro mini.
It was released even earlier than the Xiaomi 15, and among these four compact flagship (performance) smartphones, it has the strongest imaging capabilities. Due to its focus on imaging, it falls short in terms of feel, quality, and some peripheral configurations compared to the Xiaomi 15.
It is more like a student who focuses on compact imaging, excelling in imaging and battery life compared to the Xiaomi 15.
In terms of price, if the high-end version drops to a low price, it will be similar to the Xiaomi 15 in terms of storage price, 16GB + 512GB, it can be bought for around 3700, so if you like compact smartphones and have a passion for photography, you can wait for the version with large storage capacity of 16 + 512GB / 1TB.
