Linus Torvalds, the father of Linux, seemed to lose his temper yesterday and submitted a README file to GitHub, harshly criticizing the Linux system.
Linus stated: “Hello everyone, I am Linus Torvalds, the author of the once-popular Linux. You can check the repo’s URL and files to prove that it is 100% me. I deleted Linux because I hate it, and nowI think it is terrible. You should use thisgreat operating system, called Windows XP, which I just found to be fantastic.”
Is Linus planning to abandon the repository? As of now, it seems not; he just vented his frustrations. As of the time of this article, the Linux repository is still intact.According to IT Home user @骑龙乘风, Linus posted a link below pointing to a thread on Hacker News, highlighting a vulnerability in GitHub that allows for false submissions, such as:https://github.com/my/project/blob/<faked_commit>/README.md
Linus submitted the README file criticizing Linux through such a submission, and GitHub shows that this commit does not belong to any branch.
This is not the first time Linus has criticized the Linux system; he has previously noted the chaos of the Linux desktop, with severe application compatibility issues among various desktop Linux distributions, which modify the core arbitrarily, and backward compatibility is poor, making the application distribution experience inferior to that of Windows.
