On May 20, guided by the Chengdu Economic and Information Technology Bureau, hosted by the Chengdu Industrial Internet Development Center and the Longquanyi District Economic and Information Bureau, and organized by the Sichuan Economic Daily and Chengdu Qinchuan Internet of Things Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as: Qinchuan IoT), the 2022 “Cloud Walk Tianfu” exchange and promotion series event—Excellent Enterprises Field Training Qinchuan IoT Special Event was held in Longquanyi District, Chengdu.

Dozens of enterprises from Chengdu gathered to witness the exploration and practical results of the industrial internet in Chengdu’s manufacturing sector.

Human-machine collaborative operations, smart warehousing, intelligent online inspection, flexible production line configuration… Upon entering the production workshop of Qinchuan IoT, attendees were deeply attracted by the industrial internet application scenarios within the workshop.
“Qinchuan IoT is mainly dedicated to theoretical research and standard research of the Internet of Things and smart cities, as well as the development, manufacturing, sales, and service of its products, primarily producing various smart sensors required for smart city IoT services, including smart gas meters, smart water meters, smart flow meters, and ceramic sensors,” said Gu Yunsong, the production manager of Qinchuan IoT, while walking through the clean and spacious workshop, introducing to the attendees.
From the intelligent manufacturing workshop of plastic components to the highly automated assembly line of instruments, a series of industry-leading industrial internet application scenarios were presented to everyone under the empowerment of cutting-edge industrial technology, with smart production scenes visible throughout the factory.

The intelligent manufacturing workshop for plastic components achieves production automation and quality control throughout the manufacturing process with the support of seven major systems: material storage system, central feeding system, injection molding system, sorting system, circulating water system, logistics system, and environmental protection system.
The hardware components manufacturing workshop consists of fully automated shell sealing rings and metal shell welding production lines independently developed and designed by the company, achieving fully automated integrated production, reducing manual operations, and ensuring the consistency of components.
The highly intelligent automatic assembly line for instruments integrates cutting-edge industrial manufacturing technologies such as visual robots, perception control, AGV, and IoT, with a large number of devices working collaboratively, truly realizing an unmanned workshop, improving product manufacturing efficiency and quality.

Gu Yunsong further stated that all production lines of Qinchuan IoT are controlled by a digital intelligent manufacturing center, which employs industrial internet technology, robots, AGV, visual inspection, QR code traceability, computer-aided manufacturing, 5G, and other cutting-edge industrial technologies to achieve intelligent scheduling, real-time feedback of the manufacturing process, interconnectivity of equipment, resource management, quality control, big data analysis, and decision-making, ensuring timely information transmission, real-time control, and reliable quality throughout the production process, achieving smart production through industrial internet applications.
“Qinchuan IoT integrates advanced manufacturing technology with new generation information technology, realizing intelligent analysis and decision-making in factory management operations, connecting upstream and downstream supply chain systems, achieving direct manufacturing and shared manufacturing, which is a typical application and demonstration of the industrial internet in the manufacturing sector. Currently, Qinchuan IoT has shared and exported this industrial internet construction capability to help manufacturing enterprises enhance their manufacturing capabilities and transform and upgrade,” said Liu Bin, assistant general manager and director of the Industrial IoT Center of Qinchuan IoT.
According to reports, the factory has been recognized as a national “2021 Intelligent Manufacturing Demonstration Factory” and has become a model enterprise for intelligent manufacturing in the smart instrument industry.

In Longquanyi District, Chengdu, in addition to Qinchuan IoT, Sichuan Shangjiang Industrial Technology Service Co., Ltd. (referred to as: Shangjiang Industrial) has created the Shangjiang Cloud Digital Manufacturing Platform with equipment operation and maintenance as the entry point, providing customers with a complete solution from industrial equipment data collection, data processing to top-level applications such as equipment, production, logistics, and visualization management, which has served more than ten customers and industrial parks.

According to a relevant person in charge of the Longquanyi District Economic and Information Technology Bureau, in order to accelerate the digital transformation of production enterprises in Longquanyi District and enhance their competitive advantages, the Longquanyi District Economic and Information Technology Bureau actively explores the manufacturing industry’s “cloud-based data empowerment” characteristic transformation path, greatly enhancing the regional manufacturing industry’s digital transformation service capabilities, forming a “manufacturing digital integration transformation model led by the automotive industry”, and successfully being selected as a “local government case for promoting enterprise digital transformation” by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, successfully creating a Chengdu Industrial Internet Innovation Development Pilot Zone.
In the future, Longquanyi District in Chengdu will continue to take the creation of the Chengdu Industrial Internet Innovation Development Pilot Zone as an opportunity, fully integrate into the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Industrial Internet Integrated Development Demonstration Zone, fully release the advantages of the automotive industry cluster, actively leverage the digital transformation driving effect of leading enterprises, promote the transformation of large, medium, and small enterprises in the industrial chain, deepen integrated application innovation, empower high-quality development of the industrial economy, and provide strong support for the development of the digital economy in Longquanyi District, building a “high ground and three zones.”

The industrial internet is a new type of infrastructure, application model, and industrial ecosystem that deeply integrates new generation information technology with the industrial economy, constructing a new manufacturing and service system covering the entire industrial chain and value chain through comprehensive connectivity of people, machines, materials, and systems, providing pathways for the digital, networked, and intelligent development of industrial industries, and is an important cornerstone of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

In the recently released “14th Five-Year Plan for High-Quality Development of Manufacturing in Chengdu,” it is clearly stated:“During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Chengdu will adhere to the industrial internet thinking, leverage the leading, leveraging, and empowering role of digitalization, promote the ‘Chengdu Intelligent Manufacturing’ brand, accelerate digital industrialization and industrial digitalization, and promote the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy.”
Among them, in the “Network + Intelligent Manufacturing” digital empowerment project, it is clearly stated that Chengdu will build a national leading area for industrial internet innovation and development, establish a national industrial internet platform innovation application promotion center, a national industrial big data center Sichuan branch, a national industrial software collaborative research and experience promotion center, a “5G+” electronic information industry cloud manufacturing collaborative system based on industrial internet, and a “5G+” Sichuan blockchain industry innovation center, as well as an edge device access system for industrial internet + blockchain,by 2025, build a national industrial internet big data center, create more than 10 industry-level industrial internet platforms, and achieve domestic advanced levels in industrial internet innovation development, technology industry system construction, and integrated application.
