
On May 19, according to Hongxing News, currently, several scenic spots such as Taishan, Wugong Mountain, and Huashan have introduced exoskeleton robots. Among them, at the Taishan scenic area, visitors can experience this black technology for mountain climbing for 80 yuan, attracting numerous tourists.
The Taishan scenic area states that there are about four to five hundred exoskeleton robots available; if visitors come on weekends and holidays, they need to make a reservation in advance to rent the exoskeleton robots; if it is a weekday, they can rent them without a reservation.
Visitors using the device reported that the exoskeleton robot can be set to different speed levels and can be used on slopes and flat ground. When wearing the exoskeleton robot, climbing Taishan will be at least one hour faster than without it.
According to Hongxing News, the exoskeleton robots used in the Taishan scenic area were jointly developed by the Taishan Cultural Tourism Group and Shenzhen Kenking Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Kenking Technology”) and are priced at 8,280 yuan.
Since the May Day holiday this year, many scenic spots have introduced exoskeleton robots as climbing assistance equipment, quickly gaining popularity in the outdoor community. The exoskeleton robot field has also continued to attract attention from the capital market.
As of May 19, around 10:22 AM, Weisi Medical (688580.SH) was priced at 46.11 yuan/share, up 72% since the beginning of the year; Zhenjiang Co., Ltd. (603507.SH) was at 28.36 yuan/share, up 26% since the beginning of the year.
However, Weisi Medical staff have stated, “Currently, the company’s exoskeleton robots are medical rehabilitation devices, not consumer products.”
According to a research report from Everbright Securities, the global exoskeleton robot market is entering a period of rapid growth. Last year, the market size reached 1.8 billion USD, and it is expected to exceed 12 billion USD by 2030, with a compound annual growth rate of 28%.
Everbright Securities stated that with the addition of China’s 14th Five-Year Plan, which includes exoskeletons as a key development area for high-end medical equipment, many regions have included some rehabilitation exoskeletons in the reimbursement scope, and the commercialization of exoskeleton robots in the medical rehabilitation field is expected to accelerate. Guotai Junan Research reported that in the future, with breakthroughs in AI and materials science and the growing demand of an aging society, the market potential for exoskeleton robots will be further released. Currently, exoskeleton robots have shown development characteristics from special use to civilian use, and are expected to gradually penetrate consumer markets such as home care and outdoor sports.
