Emergency Repair of Floor Standing Remote Control Fan Circuit Board Damage

The author works in home appliance repair and often has customers bring floor standing remote control fans for repair. These fans have remote control features and a high-end stylish appearance, but their lifespan is relatively short. Most of them have indicator lights on but cannot start the fan when the panel switch is pressed. The motors in these fans are mostly fine; the main issue is the damage to the control circuit board. In the past, many were abandoned for repair due to the inability to replace the circuit board. Now, through modification, multiple fans that were facing scrapping have been successfully revived. The specific modification method is as follows: open the fan, remove the internal control circuit board, find the high-speed gear of the speed control motor and another power line (the DC resistance of the high-speed gear is 300Ω, medium speed is 400Ω, and low speed is 500Ω). Purchase an electronic stepless speed controller on the market, connect it in series in the fan circuit, and drill a small hole on the fan panel to install the electronic speed controller. The circuit diagram after modification is shown in the attached picture. This method is not only simple and easy to implement but also low in modification cost; interested readers may try it out.
