DIY Mini Solid Wood Table: You Can Do It Too

The War Park series of weapons has been shared with everyone. Starting from this issue, we will share woodworking projects. I believe that after learning, with the necessary tools, you will easily create mini versions of commonly used tables and stools at home!

Moreover, woodworking not only allows children to complete a project, but more importantly, it unleashes their boundless creativity and enhances their practical skills.

Are you ready, friends? Let’s get started!

Materials needed: 1 piece of wood, saw, measuring tape, compass, wood carving knife, glue, pencil

Step 1: Draw a diagram to determine the dimensions and shape. Taking a round table as an example, first use the measuring tape to draw two diagonal lines on both surfaces of the solid wood block. Use the intersection of the diagonal lines as the center, and draw a circle with a diameter of 8cm on the wood surface using a compass.

Step 2: Secure the wood board and saw along the dashed line (this step is quite difficult, and the edges may be rough). Then use the wood carving knife to refine it, removing excess wood, and sand it smooth with sandpaper. It’s taking shape, isn’t it exciting?

Step 3: The tabletop is ready, next we make the table legs. Use the saw to cut out 4 identical rectangular prisms measuring 8mm x 8mm x 5cm (length x width x height) from the wood block.
