The healthy growth of children is the top concern for every family. On July 18, Jiayuan Community, in collaboration with the Children’s Health Center of Juyexian People’s Hospital, brought professional children’s growth and development consultation services right to the doorsteps of parents and children, taking practical actions to protect childhood.

Popular Science Lectures: Debunking Parenting Myths

The experts from the Children’s Health Center of Juyexian People’s Hospital delivered a popular science lecture, explaining children’s growth patterns, influencing factors, and common issues in simple language. They addressed parents’ concerns about short stature, precocious puberty, and corrected many parenting misconceptions.
“Sleeping before 9 PM really helps children grow taller!” During the lecture, the experts clearly explained knowledge about height growth, recognizing precocious puberty, and managing obesity, with parents continuously taking notes on their phones, saying, “I used to fall into many traps, but now I finally understand!”

After the lecture, a one-on-one customized scientific guidance session took place. Parents brought their children’s bone age test reports and related questions to have face-to-face discussions with the experts. The experts developed personalized scientific guidance plans based on each child’s specific situation, providing professional advice on diet, exercise, and sleep to help parents better support their children’s healthy growth.
This event received unanimous praise from parents. One parent stated, “Such activities are very meaningful! I used to have a vague understanding of my child’s growth and development issues, but through this event, I not only learned a lot of professional knowledge but also received one-on-one guidance from experts, which makes me feel much more at ease.”
