Collaborative Discussion on AI and Robotics Empowering a New Infrastructure Ecosystem

On April 18, 2025, Shudao Construction Company and Chengdu Guimu Robotics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Guimu Robotics”) held a discussion meeting focusing on the theme of “Deep Integration of AI and Robotics with Traditional Construction Technologies.” The two parties reached a preliminary consensus on cooperation directions in areas such as intelligent inspection, intelligent safety patrol, and intelligent construction technology and management, aiming to promote the transformation and upgrading of highway and building construction towards intelligence and efficiency.

Collaborative Discussion on AI and Robotics Empowering a New Infrastructure Ecosystem

1. Technical Exchange and Demonstration

Guimu Robotics focused on introducing its core AI detection technologies, including automated pavement health inspection robots and bridge inspection robots. These technologies utilize AI algorithms and 3D modeling capabilities to efficiently identify surface and internal defects in roads, significantly enhancing detection accuracy and efficiency. Shudao Construction shared its application experiences and needs in fully mechanized tunnel construction and intelligent construction management systems.

2. Discussion on Cooperation Directions

Both parties agreed to prioritize the introduction of Guimu Robotics’ intelligent inspection system in the highway and tunnel projects undertaken by Shudao Construction, exploring the feasibility of AI-assisted construction quality monitoring; jointly building a data platform to integrate Guimu’s existing defect database with Shudao’s construction data, promoting digital management of infrastructure throughout its lifecycle; and advancing joint research and development of construction automation and intelligent construction technologies, collaboratively developing AI solutions suitable for complex construction scenarios to optimize traditional construction processes.

3. Future Planning

In the next steps, both parties will establish a special working group to refine the technical docking plan and plan to launch 1-2 pilot projects within 2025, promoting the deep integration of AI technology with traditional construction, providing demonstration cases for the intelligent development of the industry.
