Building a Safety Net!

To further standardize the management of electric vehicles and eliminate road traffic safety hazards, recently, Liu Lou Community organized staff to conduct a special action to investigate whether electric vehicles are registered, making every effort to strengthen the community’s traffic safety defense line.

Before the action commenced, the community held a special work deployment meeting to clarify the scope, focus, and work requirements of the investigation, and to develop a detailed investigation plan. Community workers were divided into several groups, utilizing residents’ off-work hours to adopt a “building-by-building, household-by-household, vehicle-by-vehicle inspection” approach to comprehensively sort through the electric vehicles parked within the community. Staff members held registration forms, carefully checking whether the electric vehicles displayed license plates, and meticulously recording vehicle brands, models, owner information, and other details to ensure the investigation data was authentic, accurate, and complete..

During the investigation, staff discovered that some electric vehicles were not registered. Upon inquiry, it was found that some residents were not well-informed about the electric vehicle registration policy and were unclear about the registration process and required materials; others had not yet found the time to handle the registration due to busy work schedules. In response to these issues, staff members transformed into “promoters” on-site, distributing electric vehicle registration promotional materials to residents and patiently explaining the importance and necessity of registering electric vehicles. “Registering your electric vehicle is not only a requirement to comply with traffic regulations but also a safeguard for your and others’ life and property safety. Once registered, if the vehicle is lost, it is easier for the police to track it down; in the event of a traffic accident, it can also facilitate quicker and more accurate determination of responsibility, protecting your legal rights,” community staff explained to residents. Additionally, staff cited recent typical traffic accident cases to visually demonstrate the risks of riding unregistered electric vehicles, guiding residents to actively cooperate with the registration efforts.

Through this action, not only was the residents’ awareness of the electric vehicle registration policy effectively increased, but also their traffic safety awareness was enhanced. In the next steps, Liu Lou Community will continue to carry out investigations on electric vehicle registration status, creating a safe and orderly community traffic environment.
