Interview with Guo Yandong, Founder and CEO of Zhifang Technology Co., Ltd. (Shenzhen) –
Bringing More Embodied Intelligent Robots into Our Lives as ‘AI Family’

On July 19, at the launch ceremony of the 2025 AI Empowering Thousands of Industries Super League, the Zhifang embodied intelligent robot “Aibao”, dressed in the distinctive Zhuang brocade of Guangxi, made a striking appearance with its fashionable and technological design.
According to reports, “Aibao” comes from Zhifang Technology Co., Ltd. (Shenzhen) in Guangdong and has been deployed in the Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile Factory since June this year, performing intelligent operations in various scenarios such as loading and unloading, towing material carts, labeling windshields, and storing protective cloths.
“Every family should have a personal computer on their desk, which was my vision when I worked at Microsoft. Now, I hope that in the future, every family will have a robot.” Guo Yandong, the founder and CEO of the company, stated during an interview with Guangxi Cloud – Guangxi Daily AI Experience Officer, that such embodied intelligent robots entering the public’s life is no longer an unattainable dream.
Embodied intelligence allows robots to move from “talking” to “doing”, integrating into the real physical world. This year, it was first included in the government work report during the National Two Sessions. Guo Yandong introduced that Zhifang has independently developed a globally leading domestic embodied intelligent large model, widely applying robots in industrial production, smart home, and other major scenarios, enabling everyone to embrace AI and new scientific technologies.
Such technological implementation and scenario expansion rely on a scientifically planned industrial development path.
“The AI industry development path of ‘Beijing-Shanghai-Guangzhou R&D + Guangxi Integration + ASEAN Application’ provides strong support for the promotion of embodied intelligence.” Guo Yandong believes that Guangxi’s industrial planning aligns with corporate development. Currently, Zhifang is collaborating with Peking University to establish a joint laboratory for embodied intelligence to tackle cutting-edge technical challenges such as “end-to-end intelligent agents”. Through product and technology R&D in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, integrating in Guangxi, and leveraging Guangxi’s geographical advantage towards ASEAN, mature AI products and solutions can be promoted to ASEAN countries, achieving efficient collaborative development of the industrial chain.
“Guangxi places great importance on the development of the AI industry, and relying on the local favorable policy environment, we successfully achieved the world’s first commercial and passenger dual-use full-scene application exploration at Dongfeng Liuzhou in just two months.” Guo Yandong introduced that in July this year, Zhifang reached a strategic cooperation with Vietnam’s largest private enterprise group.
Regarding the AI Empowering Thousands of Industries Super League held in Guangxi, Guo Yandong believes that this is both an innovative breakthrough and an industrial benchmark. AI companies from all over the country gather at the competition, which can strengthen the resource synergy and complementarity of industry, technology, and talent, while allowing some outstanding companies to stand out and play a demonstrative role.
In the future, we will see more efficient production scenes of “robots making robots” in high-end manufacturing; in home scenarios, household robots that can chat, cook, and entertain will also transition from science fiction movies into real life, becoming accessible “AI family” members.
