1. Vehicle Introduction
The Audi A6, as a representative of luxury sedans, boasts an elegant appearance and a comfortable driving environment. However, some owners believe that the factory audio system has room for improvement in sound quality, failing to meet the pursuit of high-quality music.
2. Configuration List
Front Sound Stage Speakers: Focal SQ-6.5E
Processor: Focal DSP X12
Subwoofer: Focal ST-S11
3. Installation Process
First, sound insulation treatment is performed on the car doors, using high-quality soundproof materials to enhance the thickness of the door panel and reduce resonance and external noise interference.
When installing the Focal SQ-6.5E, the mid-bass driver is mounted in the original speaker position of the car door using dedicated spacers, while the tweeter is installed in an appropriate position on the A-pillar to achieve good soundstage positioning.
The Focal DSP X12 offers multiple connection options, allowing for easy integration with the factory audio source. Its compact size allows for discreet installation in suitable locations within the vehicle, such as under the seats or on the side of the trunk.
The Focal ST-S11 is an active spare tire subwoofer, designed with a sealed enclosure, featuring an inverted subwoofer mounted in the spare tire location. It includes a built-in AB class amplifier, eliminating the need for an additional subwoofer amplifier.
4. Modification Review
After the upgrade, the audio performance of the Audi A6 has significantly improved. It adds a rich ambiance to the in-car music experience. The overall audio system can present rich details and clear layers when playing different styles of music, providing the owner with an immersive musical enjoyment.
