In the process of making this project, we tried to ensure that this project is the best guide for you to help you when you want to make your own ECG, so we hope this project contains the necessary documentation.
After receiving the custom PCB from the PCB factory to improve the appearance of the electronic device, this project is particularly easy to make, and there is enough documentation and code in this guide to help you easily create the Arduino Heartbeat display. We completed this project in just 3 days, spending two days obtaining all the necessary parts and completing the hardware production and assembly, then we prepared the code suitable for our project and started testing and adjusting.
You will learn from this video:
-
Select the correct hardware based on the functionality of the project.
-
Understand the technology of heart pulse sensors.
-
Prepare circuit diagrams to connect all selected components.
-
Assemble all project parts (device box and electronic components).
-
Start your own heart pulse device.
Step 1: How the Heart Pulse Sensor Works!
Electrocardiogram examination is the process of generating an electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG), which records the voltage curve of heart electrical activity using electrodes placed on the skin (a time-varying curve). The electrodes detect tiny electrical changes, which are the result of myocardial depolarization and then repolarization during each cardiac cycle (heartbeat).
In our case, we do not use electrodes but instead use an infrared sensor; the heart pulse sensor is a type of biomedical sensor,
