OneOverview of GJB9001C Certification
The GJB9001C-2017 quality management system certification is a key for private enterprises to enter the military industry, meaning that your products can be used in the production of military goods, aerospace, naval, and weaponry. Enterprises without the GJB9001C-2017 quality system certification cannot enter the military industry system, although there are exceptions where military products are indispensable and have no alternatives. For example, many imported products currently do not have GJB9001 certification but are reliable in quality and can be used for military production.
Features of GJB9001C-2017Two
The GJB9001C-2017 quality management system certification is a national military standard of the People’s Republic of China, also known as the weaponry and equipment quality management system certification. According to the relevant provisions of the “Regulations on the Quality Management of Weaponry and Equipment,” weaponry and equipment, as well as computer software, specialized components, supporting products, and raw materials used for weaponry and equipment, must undergo quality management. Units involved in the demonstration, research and development, production, testing, and maintenance of weaponry and equipment must establish and improve their quality management systems to effectively manage the quality of the tasks they undertake, ensuring that the quality of weaponry and equipment meets the requirements.
ThreeCertification Targets
1. Enterprises that have not yet established a quality management system for weaponry and equipment but are engaged in research and production tasks for weaponry and equipment;
2. Enterprises that have obtained certification but are facing supervisory audits;
3. Enterprises whose certificates are about to expire and need to reapply.
Reasons for CertificationFour
1. The Ministry of Defense Science and Technology Industry and the Equipment Development Department jointly organize the certification of the quality management systems of units undertaking weaponry and equipment research, production, and maintenance tasks, and certify general parts, important components, and raw materials used for weaponry and equipment. Units that do not pass the quality management system certification are not allowed to undertake weaponry and equipment research, production, and maintenance tasks.
2. The quality of ordinary products directly affects the interests of users, while the quality of products provided by private enterprises to the military directly impacts the daily training of the army and may even affect national defense and military modernization. Therefore, private enterprises can only ensure the quality of military products by obtaining the GJB9001 quality management system certification, which also increases their opportunities to enter the military market.

Interpretation: If this condition is not met, apply for ISO9001 quality management system certification simultaneously with the military standard application.
