According to estimates by Zhongcheng Shuke, due to the previously accumulated procurement demand being released in Q1 2025, the new installation volume in Q2 2025 has decreased, showing a year-on-year decline of 13.33%.

From the perspective of new installation volumes in various provinces, regions with more developed medical and health capabilities, such as Shandong, Fujian, Guangdong, and Jiangsu, show a strong willingness to purchase surgical robots. In terms of procurement model preferences, Shandong and Shanxi tend to favor domestic brands, while other regions primarily purchase the Da Vinci surgical robot IS4000 and IS4000CN from Intuitive Surgical.

In Q2 2025, the domestic laparoscopic surgical robot market remains in a competitive landscape characterized by “one leader and many strong competitors.” Among them, Intuitive Surgical ranks first with a market share of 53.8%, while domestic brands such as Jingfeng Medical and Weichuang Medical have seen significant new installation volumes.
It is worth mentioning that this year, the domestic “Da Vinci” IS4000CN has seen rapid growth in new installation volumes, accounting for over 57% of the new installation volume of Intuitive Surgical’s Da Vinci surgical robots in Q2 2025.

From the median price changes of key models from various brands, it is evident that there is a clear price stratification among different models from different brands.
The median bid price of the imported Da Vinci IS4000 from Intuitive Surgical has consistently remained around 22 million yuan. The domestic Da Vinci IS4000CN benefits from local production conditions, with a median bid price significantly lower than the imported version; for instance, the single-source procurement price at the Third Hospital of Xi’an was only 15.5 million yuan, setting a new low for bid prices in 2025. However, in Q2 2025, the price of the domestic Da Vinci IS4000CN fluctuated significantly, with some project bid prices approaching those of the imported version.
Regarding domestic brands, models such as the MT-1000 and MT-4000 from Weichuang, and MP1000 and MP2000 from Jingfeng have carved out a market with their unique features and price advantages, with bid prices mainly concentrated between 11 million and 18 million yuan.

Development Trends
Currently, various new technologies are emerging in the domestic laparoscopic surgical robot sector, gradually creating surgical robot solutions that are more suitable for China’s actual conditions and clinical needs.
Key areas of product iteration include optimization of robotic arm configurations, innovation in specialized instruments, breakthroughs in force feedback technology, upgrades in imaging navigation, parallel development of modular and integrated systems, expansion of single-port technology, and intraoperative fluorescence imaging with AI navigation.
