On April 15, according to Sina Technology, Xiaomi has recently established a Chip Platform Department under the organizational structure of the Mobile Product Department, appointing Qin Muyun as the head of the Chip Platform Department, reporting to Li Jun, the general manager of the Product Department.

In response, Wang Hua, the general manager of Xiaomi Group’s Public Relations Department, stated that the Chip Platform Department of the Mobile Product Department has always existed, and its main responsibilities include evaluating and deeply customizing the chip platform for mobile products. Qin Muyun has had dialogue records with him on Xiaomi’s office platform since 2021.

It is reported that Qin Muyun previously worked at Qualcomm as a Senior Director of Product Marketing before joining Xiaomi.

Recently, Xiaomi is set to launch the Xiaomi 15s Pro, which will be the first to feature the self-developed Xuanjie SoC, confirmed by Xiaomi co-founder Lin Bin.

According to leaks, the Xuanjie SoC adopts a 1+3+4 tri-cluster CPU architecture, which includes one 3.2GHz Cortex-X925 super core, three 2.5GHz Cortex-A725 performance cores, and four 2.0GHz Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. The GPU is Imagination DXT 72-2304, with a frequency of 1.3GHz. The GPU may adopt Imagination’s solution, while the baseband part may choose a Unisoc external solution. Reports suggest that its overall performance is comparable to Snapdragon 8 Gen1, and it may even compete with Snapdragon 8 Gen2.
