Upgrade Your Xiaomi Mi 5 to LineageOS 18.0 and Android 11

Do you still have a Xiaomi Mi 5? The one gathering dust in your drawer can now be upgraded to Android 11.

Thanks to the work of XDA developers in Spain, after flashing the latest LineageOS 18.0 system, the Xiaomi Mi 5 will be upgraded to Android 11.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 is a flagship phone released in 2016, featuring a Snapdragon 820 processor, 3GB LPDDR4 RAM, 32GB UFS 2.0 storage, and a 3000mAh battery.

At launch, the Mi 5 was pre-installed with Android 6.0, and later stopped at MIUI 10 based on Android 8.0 Oreo.

Also lucky is the Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, a Snapdragon 821 flagship with a dual-camera setup and 6GB of RAM.

In terms of experience, after the upgrade, the Xiaomi Mi 5 retains all basic functions, and all settings are normal; the developers have pushed it directly to the Beta stage.

However, the Mi 5s Plus still has some bugs, as it is only an experimental ROM.
