The Significance of Using Portable Instruments for Hydraulic System Measurement and Diagnosis

Diagnosing hydraulic system failures on-site is challenging, and due to the specific conditions of the site, it has its own characteristics.

Firstly, it requires rapid diagnosis. This means that once a failure occurs in the production site equipment, it must be diagnosed quickly and accurately with minimal disassembly.

Secondly, due to technical constraints at the production site, it is not possible to conveniently use various complex instruments for testing and inspection as in a laboratory. Ideally, a single portable instrument should be sufficient for accurate inspection and diagnosis.

Thirdly, on-site personnel are often limited by their knowledge and find it difficult to use methods such as logical reasoning and neural networks for fault diagnosis. Instead, they can only use simple, clear, and practical diagnostic methods. Many existing fault diagnosis methods have a common drawback: the accuracy of the diagnostic results is not high, and ultimately, it often requires the aid of instruments for verification. The rapid on-site diagnostic instrument has been developed and put into use to address this issue.

The requirements for detection instruments for hydraulic system condition monitoring and fault diagnosis mainly include the ability to adopt effective testing methods without disassembling the hydraulic system or with minimal disassembly, allowing for quick and simple checks of the hydraulic system’s performance and accurate identification and discovery of faults.
