Wow, does the OLED screen have such a significant impact on his eyes? Is that true? Fortunately, I mostly use LCD screens and haven’t felt much difference. Last year, I was still using iPhone SE2/iPhone 7P, iPhone 11, and iPhone XR, and my eyes are still bright.
I don’t have an Android phone, but what I know is:
There are only two iPhone models with full-screen LCD: iPhone 11 and iPhone XR.
Non-full-screen iPhones below 8P also have LCD screens, and the 8P performs excellently, still running smoothly today.
I compared two iPhones, OLED (left) and LCD (right).
Left: iPhone 11 Pro Max with OLED screen, has a transparent light yellow tint, and exhibits flickering, referred to as the “blind screen”.
Right: iPhone XR with LCD Toshiba screen, no flickering, bright white color.
Forum users say that OLED screens are extremely harmful to the eyes, which scares me away from OLED phones. Eye protection comes first, haha.
During this time, I’ve been using an LCD screen iPhone XR, and I feel it’s a bit better; my eyes aren’t as strained, and it’s more comfortable.
It might depend on personal constitution; some people are unaffected, while others with sensitive and fragile eyes may suffer greatly! It can’t be generalized.
Just use the phone screen that suits you best.
