Recently, the 38th Science and Technology Culture Arts Festival’s Embedded System Application Development Competition, organized by the university’s Youth League Committee and hosted by our department, successfully concluded. The competition was divided into two stages: preliminary and final. This event was organized by our department’s Internet of Things application technology program and attracted over 100 students to participate.

The preliminary stage was conducted in the form of “theoretical assessment + practical tasks,” focusing on evaluating students’ mastery of basic embedded theory, circuit design, and programming skills. Contestants were required to complete hardware debugging and software coding tasks within a limited time, with 20 contestants advancing to the finals based on their solid foundations.

The final round adopted a “project development + defense review” model, where contestants had to independently complete tasks such as embedded control system development and Internet of Things application design, achieving system integration and functionality optimization within one hour. A review panel composed of key teachers from the Internet of Things program scored the projects rigorously based on technical specifications, innovation, and practicality.
