We Love Audio Network previously received the Sony HT-Z9F sound system and found that this product has high connection stability. Even when playing lossless music, there is no delay between the soundbar and the subwoofer, demonstrating excellent stability.
People often refer to “Sony’s black technology.” In a previous teardown, We Love Audio Network learned that the reason the subwoofer of the Sony HT-Z9F home speaker has rich and full bass sound, while maintaining such stable and delay-free wireless connection, is due to the use of Rockchip’s HIFI audio player chip RKNanoD. This chip ensures the stability of the connection between the soundbar and the subwoofer while delivering a powerful bass impact, contributing to the new dimensions of sound quality and spatial surround sound in Sony’s audio system.
The subwoofer of the Sony HT-Z9F sound system uses a large-diameter 160mm speaker unit and features a bass reflex design. The cabinet is made of wood, providing a heavy bass impact for an immersive experience while watching movies or playing games. The subwoofer uses a wireless connection, allowing you to place it in different locations according to your home decor, reducing placement limitations.
First, remove the screws from the back panel of the speaker and take off the back panel. The brown board is the power PCB, which is reinforced with glue and includes components such as capacitors and transformers, along with a heat sink to help dissipate heat from the high-voltage switch tube and synchronous rectifier at the output. The green board is the amplifier board, which integrates the wireless chip, Bluetooth chip, and power chip for the subwoofer.
Rockchip RKNanoD is a low-power, high-efficiency, and cost-effective HIFI audio player chip, utilizing an ARM Cortex-M3 dual-core processor architecture with an audio decoder hardware accelerator. By providing a complete set of peripheral interfaces, including VOP, USB OTG, SD/MMC, I2C, I2S, SPI, and PWM, RKNanoD can be flexibly applied in wireless audio products, MP3 players, and various IoT applications.
