RealSense has established a strategic partnership with Nvidia to drive innovation in Physical AI for humanoid and autonomous mobile robots.
Recently, RealSense, a global leader in robotic perception technology, announced a strategic partnership with Nvidia, a leader in AI computing, aimed at accelerating the development and application of Physical AI technology for humanoid and autonomous mobile robots. This collaboration aims to integrate both parties’ cutting-edge technologies to endow the next generation of intelligent machines with enhanced perception and computing capabilities, thereby shortening product development cycles and reducing mass production difficulties.

In this collaboration, RealSense will deeply integrate its latest industry-leading D555 depth camera with Nvidia’s groundbreaking robotics platform, including the Nvidia Jetson Thor series of real-time computing devices, Nvidia Isaac Sim digital twin simulation technology, and the Nvidia Holoscan Sensor Bridge ultra-low latency sensor data streaming platform.
The newly launched D555 depth camera from RealSense utilizes a fifth-generation Vision Processor and supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), enabling native streaming with the Nvidia Holoscan Sensor Bridge and neural network processing at the camera end. Its robust design, global shutter, inertial measurement unit (IMU), and native ROS 2 support make it an excellent high-precision perception device for applications such as humanoid robots.
Meanwhile, the Nvidia Jetson Thor, based on the cutting-edge Blackwell GPU architecture, can provide up to 2070 FP4 of AI computing power and has a memory capacity of 128GB, capable of running the latest generation of generative AI models at a power consumption of 130 watts. Compared to the previous generation Jetson Orin, Thor’s computing performance has improved by 7.5 times, and energy efficiency has increased by 3.5 times.
The combination of these two technologies provides developers with a deeply optimized one-stop integrated solution that not only enhances the accuracy and speed of data perception but also significantly improves the overall performance of robotic systems.
