5.4.1 The alarm control unit should be an independently set microprocessor-based electronic product and should have the following basic functions:
1 Can supply power to combustible gas detectors, toxic gas detectors, and their accessories.
2 Can receive output signals from gas detectors, display gas concentration, and issue audible and visual alarms.
3 Can manually eliminate audible and visual alarm signals and still issue alarms when an alarm signal is input again.
4 Has relatively independent, non-interfering alarm functions and can distinguish and identify the location number of the alarm site.
5 The alarm control unit should be able to issue audible and visual fault alarm signals that are clearly distinguishable from combustible gas and toxic gas concentration alarm signals under the following conditions:
1) A break or short circuit in the wiring between the alarm control unit and the detector.
2) The main power supply of the alarm control unit is under voltage.
3) A break or short circuit in the wiring between the alarm control unit and the power supply.
