The Safety Instrumented System consists of sensors, logic solvers, and final control elements, which are the detection unit, control unit, and execution unit.
The SIS can monitor potential or existing hazards during the production process, issuing alarm information or directly executing predetermined procedures, immediately entering operation to prevent accidents and reduce the harm and impact of accidents.
