According to a report by the Korean Central News Agency citing the July 21 issue of the “Rodong Sinmun”, Kim Kwang-hyuk, director of the Artificial Intelligence Technology Research Institute at Kim Il Sung University, made the above statement in an interview.
In the medical field, Director Kim hinted at the potential application of AI technology in future medical settings. The report from the “Rodong Sinmun” published a photo with the caption “AI robot supporting medical volunteer services introduced in Pyongyang pharmacies.”
Although the report specifies it as an “AI robot”, it cannot be confirmed whether it is a common clothing model or a true humanoid robot. Previously, on May 21, the “Rodong Sinmun” had published the same photo with a theme of 24-hour service pharmacies.
