Today, according to blogger @数码闲聊站, MediaTek’s new generation flagship processor—Dimensity 9500 has a theoretical single-core score of over 3900 on Geekbench 6, and a multi-core score exceeding 11000, which is a significant improvement compared to the current Dimensity 9400’s single-core score of over 2900 and multi-core score of over 9200.

Additionally, this new flagship processor is manufactured using TSMC’s third-generation 3nm process N3P, with the CPU upgraded to a new generation all-big-core architecture, including 1*Travis + 3*Alto + 4*Gelas, still maintaining an 8-core design. Among them, Travis and Alto are Arm’s new generation X9 series super-large cores, supporting the SME instruction set, while Gelas is Arm’s new A7 series large core.

Compared to the previous generation Dimensity 9400, the Dimensity 9500 has abandoned the Arm Cortex-X4 series cores, upgrading all super-large cores to the Cortex-X9 series. With the support of TSMC’s N3P process, its performance and energy efficiency will see a significant upgrade.

In terms of GPU, the Dimensity 9500 integrates the Immortalis-Drage GPU, adopting a new microarchitecture that enhances ray tracing performance while reducing power consumption, with a computing power expected to reach 100 TPOS. This processor is expected to be unveiled as early as September, directly competing with the Snapdragon 8 Elite2 processor.
