Introduction
Since 2021, Biomamba’s bioinformatics base has been producing many tutorials on single-cell sequencing, which have garnered a significant number of views. While creating these tutorials, we realized that the data from single-cell sequencing is generally very large, making it difficult for individuals to process such big data on their personal computers. Therefore, it is inevitable for everyone to use servers. We have also explained why bioinformatics analysis requires the use of servers and provided some free computing resources (we managed to secure a free 128GB cloud server for you). However, once it comes to using servers, one cannot avoid learning Linux (as Windows cannot be installed on servers, which we will explain in later courses). Many friends without Linux knowledge often come to me for help when they encounter issues with R package installations or when using software in the shell command line.Since there is a demand, rather than sending you all fish one by one, it is better to start a series to teach you how to fish and systematically introduce Linux to everyone. I will also take this opportunity to review my own sparse Linux knowledge.As this series of tutorials is updated, I will also distribute PPTs, codes, and test files through the push notifications, and videos will be broadcasted simultaneously on Bilibili. Additionally, we have established a free bioinformatics and research group chat (a permanent free group for a thousand people).
