I’ve been in this industry for nearly 20 years, and I’ve never seen a C-class sedan with a range of 710 kilometers for just 140,000 yuan. The Changan Qiyuan A07 has truly left me astonished. However, as an experienced driver, I need to analyze this car’s details from a professional perspective.
1
Changan has really gone big this time! The official price for the Qiyuan A07 is 159,900 yuan, but after discounts, it can be purchased for just over 140,000 yuan. This price point usually barely gets you a decent A-class car, and now you can actually get a C-class car with a range of 710 kilometers, which has truly shaken the entire industry. Just two years ago, such a range configuration would have started at 200,000 yuan.
As a seasoned car enthusiast, I must say this price is indeed somewhat disruptive to the market. However, we need to analyze rationally to see if this car is worth the price.

To be honest, the first time I saw this car, I was quite impressed. It adopts a light design philosophy, with a coupe-like silhouette and frameless electric doors, making it definitely a head-turner on the road. The front design has a futuristic feel, and the side lines are sharp enough to make it a “photo-taking weapon” from any angle.
In terms of interior, it features a “floating island” concept, with a 15.4-inch central control screen and 16 speakers, full of technological flair. The center console has a dual-layer design, which looks good visually. However, upon closer inspection, you can still see some signs of cost control in the materials used, such as the feel of certain buttons and the materials of some decorative parts, which still fall short compared to luxury brands.

With a CLTC range of 710 kilometers, this figure is basically unbeatable in the sub-200,000 yuan price range. As a seasoned reviewer, I must say this data is indeed impressive. However, we all understand that the CLTC conditions differ from actual range.
Based on my years of experience, in normal urban use, it can run about 550 kilometers. If the air conditioning is on, it might drop to about 90% of that. On the highway at a cruising speed of 80 km/h, it can run about 480 kilometers, while at 120 km/h, it might drop to around 350 kilometers. But this level is already considered “top-notch” at the 150,000 yuan price point.

Let’s compare a few cars in the same price range; the situation is quite interesting:
BYD Qin L DM-i: Starting at 99,800 yuan, although it is a plug-in hybrid, its comprehensive range of 2100 kilometers is indeed impressive. The fuel consumption when the battery is depleted is 2.9L/100km, which is economical. The downside is that the pure electric range is only 120 kilometers, so for long trips, you still need to rely on fuel.
Nezha L: Focused on range extension technology, with a comprehensive range of 1300 kilometers, it is quite competitive. The configuration is also generous, with features like an independent refrigerator and zero-gravity massage seats. However, the driving experience of range-extended vehicles differs from pure electric ones.
Geely Galaxy L7: Starting at 115,800 yuan, the 2025 model has a pure electric range of 115 kilometers. The brand recognition is relatively high, but its range is still far behind Changan.

When it comes to advantages, it must be the range and price. In the pure electric market, currently, only the Changan Qiyuan A07 can achieve a range of 710 kilometers for 140,000 yuan. This price has left competitors unable to respond, as the saying goes, “it makes the opponents jump up in surprise.”
In terms of the power system, it has a maximum power of 190 kW and a peak torque of 360 N·m, with a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 7.5 seconds. This level is considered above average in its class, making it completely capable for daily overtaking.
However, we must also mention its shortcomings. The brand heritage is indeed lacking, and the after-sales service network still needs time to improve. The reliability of the battery technology and thermal management system also needs to be tested by the market. But given this price and configuration, I think we shouldn’t be too picky.
Who is it suitable for?
- Those with a budget of around 150,000 yuan looking to buy a pure electric C-class car
- Those with charging conditions but worried about range
- Those who do not care much about the brand and focus more on cost-effectiveness
- Those mainly commuting but occasionally taking long trips
To be honest, given this price and range, this car is indeed quite appealing. Although the brand power is not strong enough yet, the cost-effectiveness is undeniably impressive. Based on my years of experience, as long as the product is solid, brand recognition will come in due time.
Do you think it’s worth it to buy a 710-kilometer range car for 140,000 yuan? If you have a budget of 150,000 yuan, would you choose the Changan Qiyuan A07? Feel free to discuss in the comments section.
Wishing everyone success and good health.
