Functions of IoT Gas Meters

Taking the NB-IoT membrane gas meter as an example: The NB-IoT membrane gas meter is based on a cellular narrowband wireless network as a private network, using a membrane gas meter as the base meter, equipped with a communication module to form an intelligent membrane gas meter. The meter communicates with the management center, constituting an IoT gas meter reading system. The NB-IoT membrane gas meter does not require the installation of concentrators, collectors, or other intermediate devices, and can achieve network reading, remote control, online recharging, automatic price adjustment, and abnormal monitoring functions.

Usage Precautions for IoT Gas Meters

After purchasing gas, please insert the user card into the gas meter card slot (or press the button) to recharge online. The LCD screen will display the remaining balance after recharging, at which point remove the card, and the gas meter can be used normally.

When the gas meter balance is insufficient for 5m³ gas fee, the valve will automatically close, prompting the user to pay in time. If the user cannot purchase gas immediately, please insert the user card (or press the button) to open the valve, allowing the gas meter to be used normally until the balance reaches “0” and the valve closes again.

The gas meter is powered by a No. 5 alkaline battery; please do not use acidic batteries or carbon batteries.

When the gas meter malfunctions, please do not disassemble it yourself; contact the gas company personnel for repair.

Please do not use open flames to check for leaks.

It is strictly prohibited to replace or damage the meter’s outer casing or components to avoid explosion incidents or to affect explosion-proof performance.

Keep the gas meter clean and hygienic; it should not come into contact with corrosive substances. Oil stains and dust on the surface of the gas meter should be gently wiped clean with a damp cloth; it is strictly prohibited to use corrosive liquids such as acids and bases for cleaning, or to rinse with tap water.

When the mechanical part and the electronic part of the gas meter do not match, the mechanical count prevails.

Follow and Register

Open the “Tianjin Tianhui Gas Development Co., Ltd.” WeChat public account and click the “Self-service Payment” in the bottom right corner.

Select “My Relationship” and click the “Add” button.

Select the “Meter Number” section, click the “Enter Meter Number” field, and input the 10-digit meter number, for example, “1234567890”. Select “My Relationship” and click “Next”.

Verify user information and click “Confirm Registration”.

Payment

Enter the “Self-service Payment” menu.

Click the “Recharge” button.

Select or enter the gas purchase amount, and click the “Next” button.

Verify recharge information and click “Payment”.

Enter payment password.

Gas purchase successful.
